What clients have to say...

I am writing to offer my enthusiastic recommendation for Cindy Wigness as a fitness expert and trainer particularly for the elderly. She worked with my 91 year old father for two years, training him 2-3 times per week. Through her work with my father, I came to understand the very high level of expertise, practical skill, and professionalism that Ms. Wigness possesses. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of geriatric fitness: what benchmarks to expect and try for, what sorts of exercises are most beneficial, and, importantly, a keen eye and awareness of what each person she works with needs and what type of work would be most beneficial. She is also very creative and was able to conduct a very comprehensive program with my father in our relatively small apartment (and included enjoyable walks and outings in his exercise routine). Beyond that, she is highly professional: she is prompt and reliable, constantly aware of safety, and provided detailed reports and charts of progress my father was making and issues we ought to look out for.

My father always eagerly awaited his sessions with her and still speaks very highly of her, mentioning her every time we go to exercise (we have moved to Europe and so could not continue our sessions). In the fall of 2018 my father contracted West Nile Virus and quickly developed the most severe symptoms, which affected his central nervous system (only a small percentage of people who contract this form of it recover, and practically none of them are nonagenarians). My father, however, did recover and sailed through physical therapy, regaining completely his ability to walk and move freely. His doctors ascribed his nearly miraculous recovery to the “incredible physical condition he was in for someone of his age.” We believe that his work with Ms. Wigness was a large part of this.
